The new UIAH Art Navigator has been built on the old UIAH Art Navigator by Joel Ortila and Nils Kajander. It does not contain that much new stuff, but we believe that by reorganizing the information we have created far more better service. Try it out - hope you will agree with us!

The new Art Navigator includes five different sections, so that you would find the information you are searching for as easily as possible:
General Art Sources -section lists biggest art resource indexes like The WWW Library, Yahoo etc. So from here you will find other Art Navigator like sites.
Art & Culture Resource Lists by Country -section is probably the most unique part of Art Navigator: Here you can find links to sites listing art related Web page of some specific country - sites like our Finnish Art & Culture on the Web. And these links are, ofcourse, ordered by country. This list is by no means complete listing, but it is being expanded all the time. This list featured more than 30 countries (and more or less independent regions) already when published for the first time!
Finnish Art & Culture on the Web -section's title tells it all...This is probably the best guide in English to Finnish art on the Web. It is ordered by subtopics and features short reviews.
Art & Design Lists by Topic -section is actually the only whole new section within Art Navigator. It gives you the starting points and few recommendations with short reviews from each topic - including graphic design, fashion & textiles design, literature etc.
Surfer's List to Art in The Web used to be the backbone of the old Art Navigator - now its just beenrenamed. The links are in no particular order, but they have got short reviews with them. It works as a jumpstation to more or less recommended sites all over the world - its function is to give you the idea of what kinds of things it really is possible to find from the Web!
Art and Design Publications on the Web is part of the UIAH library's contribution to The Finnish Virtual Library Project. It is an organized list of sites considered worthy from an art librarians point of view.
