SPARK! is
a series of 5 events in 5 different locations throughout Europe that
promote a new type of creativity emphasising the increasing role
of culture in the socio-economic development of communities and municipalities.
The project will end in 2004 with a conference and a book on the
results of the activities. SPARK! uses culture as an economic factor for urban regeneration and to demonstrate the power of new design services as a factor in social integration and contemporary citizenship. SPARK! is an initiative of Cumulus, a network of 40 Art and Design Universities and Colleges representing the whole of Europe in collaboration with ‘Doors of Perception’ as consultant.
