HYPERMEDIA & the sense of CINEMATIC EXPRESSION
Deaf Students & Academic Distance Learning in Fine Arts

• The research was about the influence and meaning of hypermedia interactivity to the Deaf adult students who want to learn the basic concepts of film expression with the help of digital media and information networks.
• The objective of the research was to understand the criteria of how the Deaf students using sign language use the hypermedia and the strategies of information retrieval, considering that the hypermedia requires the command of at least two languages.
• The data was collected by CONCEPT-MAPPING, diaries of the students and questionnaries.
• With the acquired knowledge the digital media can be outlined and conceptualized from the viewpoint of the communication among the Deaf. The research defines the concepts with which the digital, interactive communication could be concretized and understood from the viewpoint of the Deaf user.
